Sunny skies may have dominated the recent Eid Al Fitr holiday, but UAE residents should prepare for a dramatic shift in weather conditions as next week approaches. Forecasters predict a period of stormy weather starting Monday evening and lasting until Wednesday afternoon.
Strong winds originating from the southeast are expected to bring heavy rain to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This unsettled weather coincides with the return to work for many residents following the Eid break, potentially causing disruptions.
Monday evening is forecast to bring thunderstorms to Abu Dhabi, with temperatures dropping to 25°C. Conditions are then predicted to worsen overnight, with the stormy weather reaching Dubai by early Tuesday morning.
Heavy rain is anticipated across most of the country throughout Tuesday, with Dubai likely experiencing more rainfall than Abu Dhabi. BBC Weather also predicts heavy rain with thundershowers across the UAE from Monday to Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to peak at 28°C and drop as low as 19°C during this period.
The National Centre for Meteorology advises residents to enjoy the current stable weather conditions as they won’t last long.
